The
park offers exceptional camping facilities. There are two
campgrounds, a old campground called
Upper
Campground and the newer one called Eagle Cove Campground. The
older campground has more fully grown shade trees (picture to
right). The Idaho Star Party will be held at the newer Eagle Cove
Campground (picture at bottom of page) for better viewing and
control of site. Camping sites range from primitive to full service,
and fees vary depending on your needs. Showers are included with
camping fees.
Bruneau offers 99 sites (57+ with hookups), fire grills, tables,
flush toilets, hot showers, and a dump station. All upper camp sites
feature picnic tables and fire grills. Shelters and shade trees are
abundant in the old campground. The Eagle Cove campground offers all
purpose living spaces for tents and picnic tables, with water,
electric, and open pavilion with restrooms and showers. You are
welcome to camp at either site, but most of the activities for Idaho
Star Party will be held at the Eagle Cove Campground and Education
Building at the Observatory site.
The Boise Astronomical Society Idaho Star Party
(ISP) will be setup at the Eagle Cove Campground (past the Upper
Campground, it is picture below), which has 50 sites in Loop A and
B. We will be setting up telescopes in the Lawn areas in Loop A and
B of the campgrounds. nbsp; There is a map of the
Eagle Cove
Loop A and then Eagle Cove Loop B
campgrounds in a Adobe Acrobat Reader file. So refer to this map
when making your camping arrangements. Eagle Cove campground also
has a pavilion for use by the group for the Idaho Star Party (ISP)
events.
