A Star Party is a gathering of amateur astronomers under the stars!A group sets up a refractor just prior to sunset at the Bruneau State park Observatory (1998). Many people who  attend star parties bring telescopes, but you certainly do not need one to attend the ISP. The Bruneau Dunes State Park features a public observatory that hosts a number of high quality telescopes that are forISP Tent with Class everyone's use, including an outstanding 25" Newtonian Reflector. Additionally, most amateur astronomers are happy to share their instruments!

The Idaho Star Party is an event for the entire family, with programs for all ages. Participants can chose from classes and workshops on a variety of topics.
